Since our cats started trying to use our mattress as a scratching post, most of our (admittedly dingy) bedding has now become frayed and scarred. We've been living without sheets (ie, like barbarians as far as some are concerned) for probably three to four months. And this afternoon, while being the LAST people to go Black Friday shopping in probably our entire state, we got bedding.
Thank God. I can't wait to sleep in a bed that FEELS like a bed, and it's going to be so cozy and warm and soft and nice and -
Plot twist, my boyfriend made me promise they would remain packaged in plastic until we move into the townhouse. Ugh. Anyway. I can't show you how nice and cute my bedding looks all made up and done and nice. I can only show you my awkward pictures of it encased in plastic. And some even worse pictures of pillows I picked up at the grocery store for BOGO 50% off. But it's a start! And that's all I need to keep me going until we can afford our next purchase. And some day, we might even be able to afford a real bed to put it on! Just like grown-ups!

The photo from the Target website showing what it SHOULD look like when put on!

All packaged up in my living room. |

Cutest cat in the world and one of the pillows I bought. |

I promise it doesn't look like mustard in person. |

Dark grey sheets because I'm boring! |
