Now, as you've probably noticed, I do not have Kelly's adorable, petite little frame. Her nickname in high school was perfect proportion girl. Not clever, but I digress.
The facts are that I'm plus size, I'm 5'9", and I wear size 12 shoes. These factors make it that much harder to find workable clothes on a budget. I can't just waltz into Forever 21 and pick out whatever suits my fancy. I can't buy anything from Forever 21 in my neighborhood besides jewelry. So, that being said, shopping in a brick and mortar store is rarely a leisurely experience and more often a strategic plan of attack. How do I find on trend clothes that fit in the right price point?

The answer is, mostly online shopping. And because of that, a world of opportunity has opened to me. One province of that world, homes a little website called Torrid. Torrid is more or less a staple in the wardrobes of curvy girlies everywhere. I personally am excited that Torrid has expressed an interest in coming out with more sophisticated clothes, since as we know, retro inspired plus size clothes are cute as hell, but hardly innovative or new.
This all being said, let me return to the main reason I even posted this: the Holiday Lookbook has finally been revealed on the Torrid site, and their clearance is, at present, going for buy 1 get 1 for $5!!! Eep!!!
Obviously, I jumped on this, since Torrid isn't super expensive to begin with, their clearance prices are incredible, and getting cute shoes for $5 makes me giddy with glee. Pardon the alliteration, but I'm excited for my pieces to arrive. I thought I would share since, if someone shared that information with me, I'd dive right in. Who doesn't love a good deal on plus size clothes and wide width shoes? Just because you're overweight and on a budget doesn't mean you have to restrict yourself to only wearing Target clothes (I love Target so much it's insane but a girl needs some variety!).
Enjoy!
