Cheetahs, Metallic, and Neutrals; Oh My How Cliche This Title is.

Does everyone know about neutrals? You know, those colors that you can wear with "anything"? I say anything with quotation marks because there are always some exceptions that we must deal with!
I'm pretty sure everyone knows of three or four neutral colors. One might list, black, white/off-white, brown, gray, and tan. The "white/off-white" disclaimer is needed because you wouldn't pair your cream sweater with a pristine white blouse, now would you?
But what I am here to discuss may be no revelation to you, but the TV show What Not to Wear shows that many women are uncomfortable with nonconformist neutrals *scary music plays*

What I mean by nonconformist neutrals is metallics and animal prints!

Yes, yes, I know what you are thinking, how could this be true!? Well it is true. Gone are the days where you must wear the same boring neutrals! Pairing any outfit with a metallic purse, shoe, or other accessory can amp up your get up! Ha. Ha.
You don't want to throw metallics all over your outfit, but adding the right amount of shine can really make a difference.

Here is a great, but also very expensive example! Sorry guys, you don't get to see me attempt this today, but there's always another time.
Here her metallic accent is in her shoes, BUT if you look closely you can see she also has a few pieces of gold in there.
Silver and gold together, who would have thought?

As Stacy London would say, "Metallics are neutral!!!!"
She would probably also say, "Animal print is a neutral, too, girl!"

Talking about animal prints real quick:
I am not talking lime green and hot pink cheetah print, I am talking about animal prints that exist in the natural world... Zebra, cheetah, snow leopard, (gray cheetah) giraffe if you really want to!
Options galore!
With this huge list of neutrals there are so many options for you as a girl with fashion sense to take advantage of!

Personally, my favorite neutrals are tan and gray, mostly because they aren't black and brown, (which I still can't bring myself to wear together....) and they go with anything. In fact I barely wear brown, tan is so versatile that I just usually wear tan. I have to stop myself from buying more tan and gray shoes! I have brown boots, which I love to death, but its hard for me to wear them sometimes because of my issues with brown and black... However! Tan and gray always come to the rescue!
My gray boots! Okay guys I bought these
at Walmart for less than $20 I don't
even care what you say about them I love them
that much!

Also, beloved readers (passer-by-ers), I definitely talked one of my friends out of buying a "truly heinous" button snap chambray shirt. It was a close call and she didn't fully understand, but crisis was avoided nonetheless.

Kelly <3
